Most of us don't know our great-grandparents' names. But given the chance, we'd read and remember their stories. This is where your family keeps them: told in your own words and your own voice, and passed on.
No sign-up to explore the demo. Nothing you do there is saved.
A tree tells you who was whose child. It doesn't tell you why Grandma baked apple pie every Christmas Eve, what your grandfather said when he got home from the war, or how the farm was nearly lost. Those are the stories that give a family its meaning, and they're the first thing to be forgotten.
Their Stories Live On leads with stories: the happenings, the traditions and where they came from, the sayings and recipes and lore. The family tree is there to hold them.
Talk or type a story as you'd tell it at the table. Your own voice is kept, just as you said it.
We suggest when it happened, who was there and where, working dates out from what the family already knows ("the summer after he came home from Korea"). Nothing is added until you confirm it.
Relatives add their own tellings beside yours (memories differ, and both are kept), plus photos, questions, and the stories you didn't know.
